Astronomical tanks, a Soviet vehicle unit in Red Alert 2, are Soviet extreme tank species, developed by the Ural Experimental Centre in the context of Red Alert 2 (made in Red Alert 3 by the Alhangelsk tank factory), which is itself a large-scale vehicle capable of carrying out a large-scale attack and standing still. Such tanks can be used to attack ground and air targets and are good at attacking tanks and buildings. But it is too wasteful for it to attack soldiers in the air with missiles. Many Astronomical Tanks are more capable of defending themselves.
The prototype of the
Astronomical Tank was designed by the Soviet Union, with four tracked belts, two 128 mm 52 times the calibre of the gun, with a pre-armour strength of 430 mm, powered by a diesel engine of 1330 horsepower designed by the Corov Design Agency (which has been cancelled), which could have been a new generation in the 1960s, but was eventually phased out due to technical difficulties and poor mobility. As to the type and name of such a tank, the Government of the Soviet Union did not give a correct answer, but rather model No. 138.
